Jeremy Marshall

Jeremy Marshall has been practicing Tai chi & Qi gong for over 25 years. He has also been working as a full time acupuncturist for 17 years.

At 17, Jeremy’s mother began studying Shiatsu, and he began to have treatments and read her many books on Chinese philosophy and medicine. By the time he was 21, Jeremy had begun to practice Qi gong, and then joined a Tai chi class. At that point he knew he would study Chinese medicine and practice acupuncture one day.

Tai chi & Qi gong are methods for tuning in to the wisdom of the universe, and the wisdom of yourself. They are methods of cultivating your self and aligning your inner universe with the outer world.
This process has been a profound experience for Jeremy and has provided him with many skills and abilities that translate directly into his acupuncture practice.

Biography

In 2004 Jeremy began studying for his BSc Honours degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine: Acupuncture, and graduated in 2007 from the University of Westminster. He has been in continuous full time practice ever since, mostly in Sussex.

Jeremy began studying Wu style Tai ji Quan & Qi gong with Michael Acton in 2005.
Michael Acton is a disciple of Dr Li Li Qun a close disciple of grandmaster Ma Yeuh Liang and Wu Ying Hua, lineage holders of the Wu family Tai chi. Dr Li was also a high level Qi gong doctor from Shanghai.

With Michael Acton, Jeremy had finally found a true teacher. One that could demonstrate and pass on all the knowledge of Tai chi as a martial art as well as all the intricacies of Qi gong and meditation as methods of health preservation and self cultivation.

In 2012 Jeremy became a 6th generation Disciple of Wu family Tai chi, and has been teaching Tai chi & Qi gong in Sussex for the last 10+ years.

Classical Chinese Medicine

Since 2012 Jeremy has been studying Classical Chinese Medicine through the teachings of Taoist priest and master Jeffery Yuen. These teachings have helped revolutionise the practice of Chinese medicine by restoring it to its Taoist roots. This means it becomes about much more than just treating symptoms, and is ultimately able to help people be the best version of themselves and achieve the destiny that they were born to live in this lifetime.

Jeremy has studied with Jeffery numerous times between 2012-2019 in Ireland, and has studied with some of his long term students such as Tim Sullivan and Ann Cecil Sterman. He has also completed mentorships in Classical Chinese Medicine with Hung Tran and Sean Tuten.
